How to Reach?

By Air: The best way to reach Kathmandu is via boarding a flight from India. Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu is located only 6 km away from the city center. There are direct flights that operate on a regular basis from Indian cities like Delhi & Kolkata and take around 1.5 hours to reach.

By Rail: There is only one direct train from India to Nepal that starts from Jainagar (Bihar) to Janakpur in Nepal and then further by road to Kathmandu. But the best way is to take a train to Gorakhpur or Raxaul which are very well connected to other major Indian cities. One can further take a cab/ bus to reach Kathmandu

By Road: With six border crossings with India, road travel is an economical and scenic way to reach Nepal. For those coming from Delhi or Varanasi, the most convenient crossing point is Sunauli, near Bhairahawa. There are daily direct air-conditioned buses from both cities available, as well as private cars for hire. The other popular crossing is the Raxaul border accessible from Patna, Panitanki accessible from West Bengal.

This day is dedicated to sightseeing Kathmandu where you will visit Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and Swayambhunath Buddhist Temple.

This happens only after you have a heavy breakfast at your luxurious hotel. Get to know Nepal, and each other as you walk on the streets of Durbar Square and its significant sights. You will then be taken to Patan which is rightly called the second largest town in Kathmandu. Try your hands at some adventure activities here if you wish.

The evening is for the spiritual temples and for witnessing its beauty. While the Pashupatinath Temple lets you capture the old shrines and its magnificence, the Swayambhunath Buddhist Temple laying on top of a hill gives you a good look at the surrounding tall greenery.
